Sherry started selling Real Estate in January of 1993 as a Sales Associate with Zsu Zsa Hand Inc. in Colorado Springs and later moved to The Pete Tockes Company, where she earned her Broker license and GRI designation. RE/MAX All Stars was where Sherry finally felt at home. She earned her CRS designation there in 1997. In order to see more of her husband, Sherry decided to open her own real estate brokerage and share an office building with Artie, who owns an internet company specializing in Web design and animation.

Leading up to her career in real estate, Sherry had owned her own business in Germany and had a solid background in sales. She also had grown up in a military family and so has a keen understanding of the concepts of military life and relocation.

Over the years, Sherry has consistently enjoyed higher than average referrals from past clients. In 2001, 67% of all business came from referrals and past clients returning to do business with Sherry again. Her referral rate increased to 70% in 2002. In an article published by the National Association of REALTORS®, the average REALTOR® has a referral rate of 30%.

Sherry has long been recognized for her commitment to detail and professionalism. In fact, the idea to bring other agents into the brokerage actually came from a cooperating agent asking for a position, noting the remarkable differences between agents in her own office and Sherry, with regard to written contracts, level of communication and professionalism.

It was then that Sherry sought out office space and furnishings to accommodate additional agents, changed the name of the company from Sherry Romero Realty, Inc. to the DBA of Choice Realty®. Sherry still remembers making calls at The Pete Tockes Company, ТHello this is Sherry Romero with The Pete Tockes Company.У It was long ago decided that if ever Sherry hired agents, the name of the company would describe the nature of the business and other agents would never have to use another person’s name. Thus, Choice Realty®.
